As expected of a merchant port such as Fosike, Chyrellos, there is a large activity of thieve's. However, even nobles are not safe it would seem. It is suspected that Rhythe, the thief who gives, has stolen a substantial amount of money from Count Bergus and also a rare magical gem from Duke Loring. There is not enough evidence to prove his involvement in either case but people of the nobility are calling for his arrest. "He is a menace to the people. The idea that he would give away everything he steals is a ridiculous distraction from the fact that is taking a person's hard earned wealth," said Duke Loring during an interview.
The Adjudicators as a whole seem detatched from the subject of the thief Rhythe, refusing to answer any questions regarding him and claiming that he is low prioty on their list of felons. The city police seem to feel the same way. There is one Adjudicator however who is quite outspoken about this unusual robber. Isabelle Mirada is a Rover-Judge, a traveling Judge of the Adjudicators, who feels that Rhythe IS worth capturing. Her words, "He must be captured to show that there is no 'right' reason for unlawful acts." She went on to describe how she intends to capture Rhythe herself and carry out a public trial.
In Port Fosike there have also been other criminal incidents getting mostly swept under the rug. On the roof Karin's Ramen restaurant, dead bodies were found by the owner's daughter. More were found on a distant building across the wide street. Police claim it was gang activity and that there is no point in pursuing those who might have been involved when only thieves died in the incident. It can cause one to wonder, just what is HIGH prioty on the enforcement's list?
